Next, imagine an amazing partnership between credentialed and other leaders modeling self-responsibility, personal integrity, commitment to spiritual practice and prayer, and non-violent communication in such a way that others are inspired to take up meaningful roles in the life of the church—leaders cultivating and mentoring other leaders.

Research has revealed that thriving churches demonstrate fundamental distinctions from the traditional “pastor / flock” model of ministry.  These distinctions include shifts from a minister-centric to a community-centric church culture; from ministers being perceived as family figures to ministers serving as spiritual coaches and mentors; from directive leadership to leaders developing other leaders; and from top-down governance to integral practices where every voice has validity.
 
These shifts represent an evolution in consciousness and leadership capability that translates into a more energized and prosperous organizational dynamic that is in alignment with our Unity principles and Association core values. The realization of this new paradigm of ministry is linked to a bundle of programs, services, and methodologies that are the heart of the Transformation Experience.
